FIR registered against Jail Suprintendent

Dumka, Mar 21, (UNI) Following the order of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, police registered an FIR against the Superintendent of Dumka Central Jail and three others in a two-and-a-half-month old case of immolation commited by a prisoner in the jail premises.

On December 30, prisoner Sanjay Sadhu immolated himself after failing in love. The victim later on succumbed to his injuries.

Accusing the Superintendent of conspiring against Sadhu, his mother requested the court to register a case against four persons, including the jail superintendent, mother, father and a relative of the girl.

The FIR had been registered in town police station here.
