40 people injured as two Govt buses collide

Mysore, Mar 21 (UNI) About 40 people were injured when two Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation buses collided on the outskirts of the city, today.

Police said a bus, proceeding from Mysore to Ahalya village, collided with a Mysore-bound bus from H D Kote after passing a narrow bridge.

The injured were admitted to private and K R Hospitals.

Beijing, Dec 29: Two consecutive explosions of detonators killed five and injured eight in north China and the death toll was expected to rise as rescuers searched through the rubble of flattened buildings, state media said today. Yesterday's blasts destroyed 10 rooms in four buildings in a residential area in Jining, a remote city of 200,000 in Inner Mongolia, Xinhua news agency said. NATO soldier killed in southern Afghanistan

Kabul, Dec 28: A NATO soldier was killed and three injured, one seriously, after a blast caused their vehicle to crash during a reconnaissance mission in southern Afghanistan, the alliance said today. It did not give the nationalities of the soldiers, nor more details of yesterday's incident in Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold. NATO said in a statement it was investigating.
