Tata Indicom launches 'True Value Shoppe' in Shimla

Shimla, Mar 16 (UNI) Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) today announced the opening of a new 'True Value Shoppe', an exclusive branded outlet here, taking the total number of such outlets in the hill state to 20.

Speaking on the occasion, State's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Sandeep Srivastava said, the retail expansion was aimed at increasing penetration in the far-flung regions of the state.

He said, at present, Tata Teleservices had over 70,000 subscribers in Himachal Pradesh, with a substantial reach across 75 towns and 10 districts across the circle.

''Our objective is to reach over 100 towns and a subscriber base of over one lakh by the end of this year,'' he said.

Mr Srivastava said as a part of the expansion plans, the company was focusing on rural and semi-urban segments to address the basic telephony requirements of customers across the state.

Tata follows the concept of '' True Value Outlets'' in its retail approach across the country and has a two-tier concept namely ''True Value Hub'' and ''True Value Shoppe'' outlets for reaching out to its subscribers, he added.

Sankalpan bags USD 2 million project

Chennai, Mar 16 (UNI) Mumbai-based Sankalpan, an integrated realty and premium infrastructure services provider, has bagged a USD two million-worth interior fit-out turnkey project for Nasdaq-listed IT major Syntel in the city. Announcing this at a press conference here, Sankalpan Group Chairman Ninad Randive said the company would design a 700 seat facility at a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Syntel that would have the latest imported furniture, fittings and finish.
