Patients identified under TTD-run Pranadana scheme

Tirupati, Mar 16 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)-run Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) will treat 120 patients suffering from various major ailments under the TTD's Pranadana scheme.

SVIMS, in a press release here today, said poor patients requiring super speciality treatment have been selected for free of cost under the scheme.

The treatment would be given to patients suffering from heart ailments, cancer, brain-related cases, kidney, neurology, besides four cases referred by the government maternity and SVRR hospital.

The patients were selected by a committee headed by SVIMS Director G Subramanyam, the release added.

Passengers agitate after Emirates flight delayed

Chennai, Mar 12 (UNI) Passengers of the Dubai bound Chennai-Dubai Emirates flight agitated over the indefenite delay in the departure of the flight at Anna International Airport this morning. Airport sources said the flight, with 243 passengers, was scheduled to leave for Dubai at 0940 hrs. However, it did not take off till noon even after all the passengers had boarded the plane, provoking the passengers to agitate. Troops concerned over people's health in the state

Imphal, Feb 21 (UNI) Troops in Manipur have undertaken various military action programmes to win over the hearts of the people in the insurgency ridden state.
