Pakistan will be put to test on sharing of intelligence: Sharma

Shimla, Mar 16 (UNI) Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma today said Pakistan would surely be put to test to ascertain how far it had implemented the new mechanism agreed upon for the sharing of information by intelligence agencies on the activities of terrorists and their hideouts.

Mullana raps Bhajan for criticising Sonia

Chandigarh, Mar 16 (UNI) Haryana Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana today denounced the recent statement of former chief minister Bhajan Lal wherein he had criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Police commandant suspended after Bastar massacre

Raipur, Mar 16 (UNI) Chhattisgarh government today suspended the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) 9th battalion commandant after Naxalites massacred 55 security personnel yesterday at the Ranobodli police camp in tribal Dantewada district in the pre-dawn hours. State Home Minister Ram Vichar Netam told UNI that CAF 9th Battalion Commandant Mohammad Hussain has been placed under suspension after it was found that he was absent from headquarters without informing the higher authorities. India concerned over rise of Taliban in Afghanistan

Shimla, Mar 16 (UNI) Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma today expressed concern over the regrouping of the Taliban in Afghanisthan and hoped that international forces present there would crush them. ''The regrouping of Taliban forces in Afghanistan is a cause of concern and we hope international security forces present there would be able to counter them,'' he said at a press conference here. Mr Sharma said India on its behalf was playing a significant role in re-building infrastructure.....
