Tiruchirapalli, Mat 16 (UNI) The Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirapalli -- a premier B-School in the Country --- was accorded with an ISO Certification for event-management system.
In a release here today, M Sankaran, Director of the Institution said BIM was the second B-School in the country to be awarded with ISO Certification, next to the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
Mr Sankaran said the coveted certification meant that the events that were being conducted by the Institute were rigidly adhering to the international quality norms. TUV-SUD had certified the systems established for conducting an event to be adhering to ISO 9001:2000 standards, he added.
It was completely a student-driven initiative that was ably supported and encouraged by the faculty, he said and added that the students had gained experience for applying quality-management system for services (organising an event is a service).
