Delhi MCD polls: BJP cadres resent ticket allotment

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Strong resentment is brewing among BJP cadres over the allotment of ticket for the Municipal elections in Delhi.

Delhi BJP sources said former Union Ministers Vijay Goel and Sahib Singh Verma were very unhappy over the manner the ticket was being given by Mr Vijay Kumar Malhotra, party incharge for delhi, and Delhi BJP President Harsh Vardhan to their ''favourites'', ''ignoring the right candidates.'' Mr Malhotra and Mr Vardhan, they said, had ignored their recommendations.

Sources said both Mr Goel and Mr Verma had already met party President Rajnath Singh and senior BJP leader L K Advani and brought the matter to their notice.

They had pointed out that this kind of discrimination would not do any good to the party which had to face assembly elections in the Capital in 2009, sources said.
