CPI(ML-Liberation) urge all Left parties to shun Front

Kolkata, Mar 16 (UNI) The CPI(ML-Liberation) today called upon all the Left parties to shun the CPI(M)-led Front and form an alternative force in the state.

Addressing newspersons here, party general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharyya termed the CPI(M) as a ''derailed'' political party and said it was politically ''bankrupt'' now.

''We are appealing to all the Left parties to form an alternative force,'' he said and congratulated the people for making the bandh a grand success.

He said his party would hold a rally in Delhi on March 23 in protest against the SEZ and on March 25 in Kolkata.

Dhanbad, Mar 16 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today held the BCCL responsible for yesterday's incident in which ten people of two families were buried alive after land cave-in near the Kusunda coal mines. Mr Munda, also the leader of Opposition, visited the accident site this morning to take stock of the situation. Later, he told reporters the disaster could have been avoided hadf the BCCL taken precautionary measures beforehand. Mr Munda, while demanding Rs 5 lakhs in compensation.....

SUCI claims total success

Kolkata, Mar 16 (UNI) SUCI today alleged that more than 100 people were killed in the Nandigram firing and said they would observe martyr's day tomorrow as a mark of protest against the incident.
