CPI(ML) denounces Nandigram killings

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) The CPI(ML) while condemning the 'Nandigram massacre' has sought the resignation of the Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee government saying the incident was a ''murder of democracy''.

Party General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya called upon all non CPI(M) constituents of the Left Front to jointly protest the 'Nandigram massacre' and scrap the SEZ policy.

Denouncing the incident in which the police unleashed terror on the peasants at the behest of the West Bengal government to crush their resistance against forced land acquisition and SEZ policy, Mr Bhattacharya said all democratic forces must rally against this undemocratic act.

Protest voices on the killings also came from the Anti-SEZ Front and Confederation of NGOs of Rural India who held demonstrations here.

London college to offer degree course in Indian Music

Bangalore, Mar 12 (UNI) Trinity College of Music, London, will offer a four-year degree course in Indian Music in association with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, validated by the University of Westminster. Minority cell seeks Rs 100 cr budgetary allocation

Udupi, Mar 12 (UNI) The Karnataka State Minority Development Corporation has sought Rs 100 crore fund allocation in the coming State budget, its Chairman Anwar Manipaddy said today.
