Bribery scam: Reddy not to cooperate with Lok Ayukta

Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) Reiterating his demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inqury into his charge of Rs 150 crore bribe allegedly received by Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy from Bellary mine operators, suspended BJP leader Janardhana Reddy, MLC, today said he will not cooperate with the Karnataka Lok Ayukta, to which the case had been referred to by the State Government.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said the State Government had wound up the Justice U L Bhat Commission, constituted to inquire into the allegation, as it had taken an independent decision to seek the assistance of the CBI to get at the truth.

Describing the Government's move as a vindication of his stand, he exuded confidence that the Supreme Court would take positive action on his petition, seeking CBI inquiry into the charge. ''The issue would come up before the apex court again next week.'' UNI

CSRTI scientists develop plastic rotary mountage, cocoon harvester

Mysore, Mar 16 (UNI) The Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute (CSRTI) scientists have come out with a new plastic rotary mountage and pedal operated cocoon harvester to cut down on labour and production costs of defective cocoons.
