Badal appoints three Chief Parliamentary Secretaries

Chandigarh, Mar 16 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced the appointment of three Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS).

The newly-appointed CPSs are Mrs Mohinder Kaur Josh and Sarwan Singh Phillaur, both of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Mr Jagdish Sahni of the BJP. They will take oath to the office on March 19.

Mrs Josh and Mr Sarwan Singh were ministers in the SAD-BJP government of 1997. Mrs Josh was elected from Sham Churasi (reserve) constituency in Hoshiarpur district, Mr Sarwan Singh was elected from Phillaur (reserve) constituency in Jalandhar district and Mr Sahni was elected from Batala in Gurdaspur district.

The appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries would be made after the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session ends on March 29, the Chief Minister announced here today.

Dargah committee sends legal notice to Shah over Kaif's skirt

Mahajan to approach Lokayukta over BJP's chargesheet

Shimla, Mar 16 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Revenue Minister Sat Mahajan today said he will soon file an affidavit with the Lokayukta against charges of corruption levelled against him in the BJP's chargesheet submitted to the Governor on March five.
