8373 primary teachers to be appointeed in 6 months, Tirkey

Ranchi, Mar 16 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today admitted that education in the state was adversely affected by inadequate staff saying more than 8000 primary school teachers would be appointed within six months.

After a long debate on 'Sarba-Siksha Abhiyan' and higher education in the House, Education Minister Bandhu Tirkey also informed that State Public Service Commission had been advised to do the needful regarding appointment of 8373 primary school teachers.

Mr Tirkey agreed to the general concern over the education system and informed the House that the government would soon fill up vacancies in middle schools as well besides appointing members Academic Council.

The minister said the vacant posts in the middle schools would be filled soon.

Centre sanctiones a company of India Reserve Battalion

Indelible Ink sent to Combodia

Mysore, Mar 10 (UNI) The State owned Mysore Paints and Varnish Limited, specialist in the manufacture of indelible ink, shipped a consignment to Cambodia where a general elections were due next month. Company Chairman Ravishankar told UNI that the Company has yet again made a mark for itself and established its reputation as a leading manufacture of indelible ink among other chemicals and paint based products. The Company has dispatched 29,856 bottles to the Cambodia and earned Rs 1.28 crore.....

ICICI, Subhiksha launch food card

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) ICICI Bank, India's second largest bank, in association with discount retail chain Subhiksha has launched Food Card, targeted as an alternate to meal allowances given to employees by companies. The pre-paid card will be accepted at all Subhiksha outlets and select restaurants. It is reloadable on monthly basis.
