60 delegates to attend IIM-K global meet

Kozhikode, Mar 16 (UNI) As many as 60 delegates from India and abroad are expected to participate in an international conference on 'marketing and society' begining here on April 8.

The foreign delegates expected in the three-day event organised by the Indian Insitute of Management-Kozhikode were from the US, UK and the European Union, said a release here today.

The key speakers at the conference included analysts and researchers from industry, academia, government, media and public life, who are working on or dealing with aspects and issues related to the themes of the meet, it said.

The main objective of the meet is to have an in-depth analysis of the marketing community and its concern on the important aspects, the intended and unintended consequences of marketing on the society, it added.

Tata Steel wins 'Amity Corporate Excellence Award'

National league volleyball championship from Feb 25

Kannur (Kerala), Feb 22 (UNI) National league volleyball championship will be held here from February 25 to March four at the Jimmy George floodlit stadium, Payyanur on league round basis. Ten teams, Including six men's team will participate in the tournament, torunament committee convenor Gangadharan told newspersons here. Aircraft orders to remain buoyant in 07: CAPA

Sydney, Feb 23 (UNI) Global aircraft orders will remain fairly buoyant this year led by North American and European major carrier re-fleeting decisions, according to the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA). But the overall order levels may not reach the 2005/06 peak, said the leading consultancy firm. Asia Pacific carriers as a group are unlikely to be major buyers of new aircraft in 2007, although the Chinese government and major carriers in the Gulf region including Emirates and Qatar.....
