39 sitting MLAs in SP's 3rd list of UP poll candidates

Lucknow, Mar 16: The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) today released&13;the third list of 88 candidates for the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh&13;assembly election.
&13;
&13; Thirty-nine sitting MLAs, including rebels from the Opposition BSP and BJP.
&13;
The party has also fielded some of the 13 rebel BSP MLAs&13;disqualified by the Supreme Court on February 14 for forming a splinter&13;group and mering with the SP.
&13;
Such disqualified MLAs in the list include Rajendra Singh Rana,&13;who had spearheaded a vertical split in BSP after Ms Mayawati resigned&13;as Chief Minister.
&13;
SP supremo and CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, who had earlier in the day&13;announced to contest from Bharthana and Gunnaur, also figure in the&13;list.
&13;
The party had released the first list on March 1, which had 58&13;names. The second list released earlier this week had 23 names. With&13;this, SP has released the names of 169 candidates for the seven phase&13;UP election commencing April 7.

Tax exemption on foodgrains, pulses to continue

Bangalore, Mar 16: Tax exemption on rice, paddy and wheat will continue for one more year, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announced today. Presenting the budget in the Assembly, Mr Yediyurappa, who also holds the Finance portfolio, said the exemption would also continue for products of rice and wheat, and pulses to help the common man.Tax on rubber tyres and tubes of tractors, software licenses and used motor vehicles would be reduced from 12.5 per.....

No evidence of organ trade in Nithari killings: Govt

New Delhi, Mar 16: The government today said no evidence has been&13; found so far to connect Nithari incident in Noida with the trade of&13; human organs.&13; &13; Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss informed this to the Rajya Sabha in a written reply today.&13; However, he admitted that the Delhi Police has registered six&13; cases of illegal trade of human organs during the past four years of&13; which five cases were registered in 2004 and one in.....

Hyundai takes hint from Maruti, ups prices

60 delegates to attend IIM-K global meet
