Weston launches LCD DVD

New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Consumer electronic company Weston today launched mobile LCD Digital Video Player (DVD) 'Personal17', with a seven inches flat liquid crystal display screen.

The mobile DVD player comes with a head phone, DC car adapter, Lithium-Ion battery charger and a remote control.

Priced at Rs 8,590 it carries a six months warranty and is available at 2,000 Weston retail outlets across India.

It can also be connected with the television at home or office and works as a normal DVD player.

The DVD comes with features including Dolby digital AC-3 decoder, TFT colour display with a 16:9 resolution, and plays DVD, VCD, ACD, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW and JPEG and Kodak picture CD player.

Valued-added services for BSNL broadband customers on anvil

Gulbarga, Mar 5 (UNI) Public sector BSNL is planning to provide video, cable TV and other value-added services for its broadband connections soon, BSNL District General Manager V Srinivasan said today. Cauvery agitation continues in K'taka

Mysore, Mar 5 (UNI) Dharnas, court boycott, hunger strike, motorbike rally and processions marked the protests by farmers and various organisations in the Cauvery basin districts of Mandya, Mysore and Chamarajanagar in Karnataka against the final award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal, today.
