Sun Microsystems launches learning centre

Bangalore, Mar 15 (UNI) Sun Learning Services, a division of Sun Microsystems India, has launched its Learning Centre here, offering instructor-led classroom training.

With special Sun Authorised Instructors who were technical experts delivering lectures and hands-on experiences, the centre aimed at empowering the workforce on prevalent technologies and the needs of the future. Sun's Learning Services' comprehensive offerings enable rapid deployment of Sun's solutions for software application development, system administration, storage and lifecycle management, the company said in a release here today.

The learning centre would offer training in Java and XML technologies, Identity Management, Solaris OS courses, Sun Java Composite Application suite (Java CAPS), Servers and High Availability, Storage and Sun Hardware systems.

Altera introduces low cost FPGA

Bangalore, Mar 15 (UNI) Altera Corporation today announced the availability of Cyclone III family, the industry's first 65 nm low cost Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)s. Cauvery agitations continue in basin districts
