Shashiprabha takes oath as MLA

Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) BJP legislator Shashiprabha Singh was today sworn in as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly by Speaker Ishwardas Rohani.

She recently emerged victorious in the Udaypura bypoll defeating her nearest rival Sahib Singh Patel (Cong) by more than 19,000 votes.

Ms Singh is the wife of Vidisha MP and former state minister Rampal Singh.

Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Woman and Child Development Minister Kusum Singh Mehdele today retracted her statements made against a legislator in the Assembly after Speaker Ishwardas Rohani's intervention. Mr Rampyare Kulaste (BJP) raised the matter of irregularities while appointment of Anganwadi workers during the Question Hour and asked for an inquiry into the matter. Work on Vedanta University near Konark to begin soon

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Work on the proposed 'Vedanta University', coming up between Puri and Konark, will begin soon, Orissa Information and Publicity, and Sports and Youth Services Minister Debasis Nayak said today.
