Rahul Gandhi to campaign in UP polls

New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Congress Member of Parliament from Amethi Rahul Gandhi today announced his plan to campaign in West Uttar Pradesh in the coming Assembly polls in the state.

Party sources said Mr Gandhi will begin his road show from March 18 and will tour 32 constituencies. He will be accompanied by the sittin MLAs, party sources added.

He will also hold meetings and highlight the failures of the Uttar Pradesh government.

The sources added Mr Gandhi will tour Meerut, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar and Bareilly, party sources added.

Rahul to kick off roadshow on March 18

Lucknow, Mar 15 (UNI) AICC member and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi would kick off a three-day roadshow in Western Uttar Pradesh beginning March 18 to campaign for party candidates in the coming Assembly elections, while the party is expected to release the list of 62 candidates contesting in phase I today. SP, Congress lag behind in announcing candidates list in UP poll

More officials likely to be removed in UP: EC

Lucknow, Mar 15(UNI) After transferring key officials in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, the Election Commission (EC) today indicated that more transfers of senior officials were likely before the first phase of Assembly elections in the state, slated for April 7.
