Patient's death sparks protest

Mysore, Mar 15 (UNI) A group of irate villagers of Chikkalli and the public in general staged a demonstration in front of K R Hospital here following the death of an youth, blaming the doctors' negligence for the death.

Hospital sources said an youth, Girish of Chikkalli village, was admitted to the ED hospital in the city on complaints of vomiting and later shifted to KR Hospital. He was declared dead, after which the relatives and others agitated against the doctors' negligence.

However, the agitation was withdrawn after a clarification from the medical officer on the death of the patient.

Six people killed in a road mishap near Koppal

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Six people were killed on the spot and two others injured when a fertiliser laden tractor, in which they were traveling, capsized near Koppal in North Karnataka. Police said that the victims were caught under fertiliser bags when the twin-trailers capsized after an axle broke.
