Ranchi, Mar 15 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said farmers owing co-operative loan of worth Rs 10,000 with their interest would be remitted.
Intervening into the reply of Congress member Manoj Yadav's starred question, Mr Koda said the step had been taken to give the farmers relief adding Rs 1.47 crores had been provided to the department for the purpose.
Leader of Opposition Arjun Munda said it is to be seen whether the government would remit the loan taken from other banks.
Earlier, Co-operative Minister Dulal Bhuyian said loan of about Rs 10000 with its interests given by the District Central Cooperative banks, would be remitted.
