CII meet on globalisation in Pondy Mar 16

Puducherry, Mar 15 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) would be organising a conference on "Globalization- Impact on Indian Business" here tomorrow coinciding with it's annual session.

According to a release today, CII said in the changing global business enviornment restructuring, expansion, consolidation, mergers and acquisitions had impacted the industry.

Though the pressure of the global restructuring was yet to be fully felt in India, consolidation efforts were on as domestic companies faced intense inbound and outbound competetion.

The main objective of the conference is to delebrate how globalisation led to increased competetiveness and its impact on today's business scenario.

The session will have keynote adress and panel discussions by eminent industry leaders and professinals. It will be inaugurated by Education and IT Minister M O H F Shajahan.

INCB warns of counterfeit medicines flooding markets

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) has said a flood of counterfeit medicines now available in many countries could have fatal consequences for consumers. Smart card industry to touch $149mln by FY11

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The continued boom in the mobile telephony market and the paradigm shift in the government's documentation process has opened up the horizon for greater usage of smart cards in the country.
