Breach of privilege notice against Gaur

Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) The main opposition Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today moved a breach of privilege motion against Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur.

The notice for breach of the privilege against Mr Gaur was given by Mr Satyadeo Katare (Cong) to Deputy Speaker Hazarilal Raghuvanshi.

In the notice, the Congress alleged that Mr Gaur made disparaging remarks insulting the enire House, especially women members, during discussion on budgetary demands of Commerce and Industries department for 2007-08.

The notice stated that the entire House was shocked with Mr Gaur's behaviour.

Policy for rehabilitating tribals soon

Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government today informed the Assembly that a policy will be made containing provision for providing fertile land and other facilities for rehabilitating tribals put up on forest lands. Replying to the debate on budgetary demands for 2007-08 for the Forest department, Forest Minister Himmat Kothari described as baseless the opposition's allegation that the government was trying evict tribals from forest land forcibly. Transport policy for rural areas

Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government will formulate a policy to improve transport facilities in rural areas, Transport Minister Himmat Kothari told the Assembly today. Replying to the budgetary demands for 2007-08 for the Transport department, Mr Kothari said the government had started providing driving licenses in schools and getting vehicles registered through dealers on an experiment basis. He described the government's decision to shut down the Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Department as appropriate saying it was necessary.....

Lokayukta complaints against police inefficiency

Madikeri, Mar 2 (UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde has lodged a complaint with the State Government against inaction of Kodagu police who failed to respond in time following a road mishap near madikeri last week. In his complaint, he alleged that he was stranded on road for hours together due to an accident followed by road block and Police did not act with speed and efficiency.
