Assembly adjourns as opposition Cong disrupts house

Jaipur, Mar 15 (UNI) The proceedings in the Rajasthan Assembly could not be conducted for the third day today as the opposition members kept disrupting the house on the issue of compensation to the farmers who lost their crops in the unseasonal rain and hailstrom.

The Speaker Sumitra Singh adjourned the house till 1400 hrs.

With the commencement of the session this morning the opposition Congress members holding samples of the crops perished in the hailstrom in their hands started shouting slogan. Meanwhile, one of the Congress members Mangalram Godhara has started an idefinite fast in the well of the house to press the demand.

With repeated requests for maintaining decorum in the house fell on deaf ears, the Speaker announced the adjournment of the house.

BSF out from Kashmir, CRPF takes over Counter Insurgency operations

Srinagar, Mar 15 (UNI) The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has now taken over all counter-insurgency operation from Border Security Force (BSF) in the entire Kashmir valley. With the induction of ten more batallions, the CRPF has taken over charge of all Counter Insurgency (CI) operations from BSF in the entire Kashmir valley, DIG CRPF for South Kashmir Nalin Prabhat told reporters after the last BSF batallion moved out today. Temps dip, cold persists in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Mar 15 (UNI) With the skies cleared of clouds, temperature at many places across Rajasthan dipped at least one to three degree Celsius, making the mornings and nights cold. Haryana to urge CBI for early probe in Chautala case

Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) The Haryana government will urge the CBI to expedite its probe in the disproportionate assets case against former chief minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala and his family members.
