18 fishermen nabbed by Pakistan securitymen

Porbandar, Mar 15 (UNI) Eighteen Fishermen were arrested by the Pakistani Maritime Securitymen off Jakhau port while they were sailing in the Arabian sea.

Gujarat Fishermen Association Secretary Manish Lodhari said the fishermen were fishing in the high sea off Jakhao port late last night when they were nabbed by the Pakistani Maritime securitymen who towed them towards Pakistan. Three boats in which they were sailing have also been impounded by them, Indian Coast Guards have been informed about the incident and urged to take immediate action, he said.

India ranks top in rabies deaths in Asia

Anantha Rangachar to be conferred Ved Ratna Puraskar

Bangalore, Mar 3 (UNI) Vedic scholar N S Anantha Rangachar will be conferred with the Gangeshwaranand Veda Rathna Puraskar for his excellence in Rig Veda by Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi at Raj Bhavan here on March seven.
