Three die, six injured in boiler burst; probe ordered

Gurgaon, Mar 14 (UNI) Three people were killed and six seriously injured when a boiler burst at a furniture factory on Berhampur road near Gurgaon today.

District Magistrate Rakesh Gupta has ordered a probe into the incident.

The incident took place at around 1530 hrs, when workers were busy in the boiler room of the wood moulding furniture unit.

The injured were rushed to the Ayushman Hospital and Trauma Care Centre here.

''We heard a blast at 1530 hrs. Two people were found buried alive under the wall that collapsed in the blast,'' said Umesh Kumar Shrivastava, a worker.

The bodies have been shifted to the Gurgaon's Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Several glasses and furnitures of the plywood factory, worth more than Rs 10 lakh, were damaged and two adjoining houses also bore damages worth Rs 1 lakh each in the incident, official sources said.
