Student held for sexual molestation

Kancheepuram, Mar 14 (UNI) Police today arrested a college student on sexual molestation charges.

Police said Mahesh (22) who was staying in Oorapakkam near Chengalpet had developed intimacy with a 19-year-old girl working in Chennai for a private firm.

Mahesh allegedly took the girl to his room where he outraged her modesty.

The girl then lodged a complaint with the police who registered a case and arrested Mahesh.

Chennai, Mar 14 (UNI) Police seized 5,470 fake video game CDs worth Rs 25 lakh in an surprise raids conducted in five different gaming parlours and shops at Chintadripet and Egmore areas of the city yesterday and arrested five persons in this connection. Police said, acting on a specific complaint on largescale sale of fake CDs of popular brands, the raids were conducted and seizure effected. Bypolls overshadow MP Budget

Bhopal, Feb 26 (UNI) While presenting Madhya Pradesh's 2007-08 Budget in the Assembly today, state Finance Minister Raghavji today said that new schemes for five districts were not included in the proposals as the electoral process was underway there. ''As per the Election Commission's guidelines, schemes for Gwalior, Datia, Shivpuri, Raisen and Sidhi were not included,'' he said.
