Mizoram police to exhume body of slain insurgent

Aizawl, March 14 (UNI) Mizoram police will exhume the body of a slain NSCN (I-M) cadre killed by his comrades after he voluntarily left the outfit recently.

Police sources here today said four NSCN(I-M) cadres were arrested for allegedly killing one of their comrades and buried him on the outskirts of Tuipuibari village in western Mizoram along the Tripura border.

With the permission from the District Magistrate to exhume the body, police would be undertaking the task today, sources said.

The sources said about seven insurgents from NSCN (I-M) surrendered before Border Security Force stationed in North Tripura near Mizoram border on Sunday night with more than a thousand rounds of ammunition, AK 47, Ak 57, Chinese rifle and a hand grenade.

Kerala likely to clinch deal on Smart City

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 25 (UNI) The Kerala Government and the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (TECOM) seem to be moving closer to clinching a deal on the Smart City at Kochi with the Goverment officials and the TECOM representatives expressing satisfaction over the talks held between the two today. 33 per cent reservation for women in TTD institutions

Tirumala, Feb 25 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board, the highest decision making body of Lord Venkateswara temple here, today decided to reserve 33 per cent seats for women in TTD educational institutions. They had also decided to celebrate Kaisika Dwadasi in 108 dalitwadas in Andhra Pradesh on Nov 21 this year. Local train passenger shot dead; money snatched from possession

Barasat, Mar 14 (UNI) Miscreants shot dead a businessman in a local train compartment near Ashoknagar railway station of Sealdah-Bongaon section of the Eastern Railway this morning. According to Government Railway Police here, the victim Biswanath Das was going to Habra. Some miscreants stopped the train near Ashoknagar railway station and shot at him. They allegedly snatched the cash that he was carrying and fled. Mr Das was admitted to Habra State General Hospital from where he was transferred to.....
