''Livlihood Mission'' to create 50,000 jobs this year

Bikaneer, Mar 14 (UNI) ''Rajasthan Livlihood Mission'' will create fifty thousand jobs in the next financial year.

This was disclosed by former Chief Secretary and Vice President of the mission Mithalal Mehta here today.

Mr Mehta said the state government has earmarked Rs 20 crore for creating employment through the ''Livlihood Mission.'' Mr Mehta said the the mission was able to generate about 30,000 jobs through employment melas last year and the target of 50,000 jobs has been fixed for next year.

He said the mission has been carrying out skill development programmes and traning programmes in collaboration with reputed companies to help them get employment.

CRPF replaces BSF in north and south Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 14 (UNI) The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has taken over from the Border Security Force (BSF) in north and south Kashmir, a CRPF spokesman today said. The process has already been started and by tomorrow the CRPF will completely replace the BSF, the spokesman told UNI. The CRPF took over counter-insurgency operations from the BSF last year.
