Bhubaneswar, Mar 14 (UNI) LG Electronic India Private Limited (LGEIL) Managing Director M.B.Shin today said the company's future growth engine will be IT products and GSM telephones in India.

Mr Shin, who launched the LG Time Machine TV in Orissa, told newsmen that the prime focus of the company would be the high end display category, IT products and GSM phones.

He admitted that there has been tough competition in these products in India but LG would never jumped into the price warand instead concentrate on the quality products. The LG would come out with several new models on GSM telephones in the next few months,he announced.

Mr Shin said the company had suffered loss in the lower segments due to the aggressive market from China but hoped in the long run ultimately LG products would thrive in the market.

He described the Time Machine TV, available both in plasma and lcd panels as the only TV in the world with built in digital video recorder technology.

The company, he said, had set a target to sell at least 400,000 such set costing about 1.10 lakh by next year. This year the turn over of the company would touch Rs 9500 crore in India as against Rs 8250 crore achieved last year.
