IndiGo starts new daily services from Delhi to Mumbai, Chennai

New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) Low-cost airline IndiGo today started operating its eighth brand-new Airbus A320 with daily non-stop services on Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai sectors.

It will improve connectivity between Delhi and Mumbai by introducing second non-stop service from March 26. IndiGo will also use this new aircraft to connect Jaipur to Guwahati via Kolkata.

The airline now offers non-stop services from Delhi to Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Pune, Vadodara and Jaipur.

It operates 52 daily flights and flies to 13 destinations. IndiGo plans to serve 30 Indian cities by 2010 with a fleet of 40 A320s.

Patel launches FIA website

New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) The newly-formed Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) has launched a web portal to serve as a forum for voicing the industry's opinion about key issues. Civil aviation minister Praful Patel launched the website here last evening. The initiative will serve as a link with various regulatory authorities, government departments and other key stakeholders. Haryana: 49 SEZs to attract Rs 1,75,000 cr investment

Chandigarh, Mar 14 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the Centre had approved in principle 49 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) for the state, which would attract a total investment of Rs 175,000 crore. Russia concerned about decrease in arms export to India, China

Moscow, Feb 20 (UNI) First Deputy Prime Minister, in charge of defence industry, Sergei Ivanov, today expressed concern over the decreasing share of Russian arms exports to India and China.
