Dacoit Jagjivan Parihar cordoned off

Morena, MP, Mar 14 (UNI) Notorious dacoit chieftain Jagjivan Parihar, who carried a reward of Rs 5.5 lakh on his head, has been cordoned off at a house at Gurar Gadhi village in this district, police said today.

Inspector General of Police (Chambal range) Vijay Yadav said a police team led by Superintendent of Police Hari Singh Yadav had cordoned off the Parihar gang at a house this morning.

A fierce encounter was ensuing with the bandits surrounded from all sides.

Town Inspector K D Sonkia and Porsa constable Ramavtaran Singh Tomar were injured. They were sent to Jayarogya Hospital, after being provided primary treatment.

Parihar is wanted in connection with several incidents of murder, abduction and other heinous crimes in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) Unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm lashed northern Madhya Pradesh last night but the weather was clear in most parts of the state today. Unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm lashed the state's northern and north-eastern part in the past two days killing 17 people in rain-related incidents and causing heavy damage to crops. Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) Get a toilet constructed with a grant and emerge from the Below Poverty Line status (BPL) sans any discernible change in financial position! Death toll mounts to seven in house collapse

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) The death toll rose to seven today when four more bodies of labourers were recovered from the debris of a collapsed underconstruction hotel structure near Royal Palm Pvt Ltd, Goregoan, in western suburbs.
