Board exam cancelled in MP

Ujjain, MP, Mar 14 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Board Of Secondary Education's tenth-standard Hindi (Special) exam, earlier scheduled for tomorrow, was cancelled after the question paper leaked yesterday at a government school in this district's Tarana.

The question papers were distributed while a twelfth-standard Hindi exam was get underway. The district administration suspended Centre Incharge Surendra Sharma, his assistant Sudheer Joshi and an assistant shiksha karmi for carelessness.

''The incident occurred at Government High School Number 1.

Later, the right question papers were distributed. The Hindi (Special) exam is likely to take place on April 12,'' District Collector Neeraj Mandloi said here.

MP Assy to discuss Indore disturbances

Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly will take up for discussion tomorrow the issue of communal tension in the state's commercial capital Indore. US favours early election in B'desh: Chabot

Dhaka, Feb 22 (UNI) The United States would like to see general election in Bangladesh sooner than later as Washington thinks it would give the wrong signal if the elections were held back for years, said US Congresman Steve Chabot. ''Certainly, we would like to see the elections sooner than later. Bangladesh, after all, is a democracy and democracies have elections''. We won't like to see drag on the election for long period of time, Mr Chabot told reporters here today......

Doctors' posts to be filled up in MP: Vishnoi

Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi today informed the Assembly that district collectors would be authorised to fill up doctors' vacancies in hospitals. Replying to supplementaries by Mr Ramlakhan Sharma (Communist Party of India-Marxist) during Question Hour, he admitted that several such vacancies existed. ''Besides creating posts, the government is also considering amending the recruitment process,'' the Minister explained. In reply to another question, Mr Vishnoi said about 600 ampules of antidote were supplied to the local.....
