New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) Carrier India, a subsidiary of the US-based air conditioning and refrigerating company Carrier Corporation, today said it will increase investments in the country in the future, complimented with the 25-30 per cent growth in the 1.1 billion dollar market last year.

''We invested close to 1.5 million dollars last year at our Gurgaon plant. We will make more investments in India going forward, once we are ready with the details,'' Carrier India Managing Director Zubin Irani told reporters here.

The company, which manufacturers air conditioners (ACs) for both residential and commercial purposes, will make investments on increasing its focus on energy efficient products and expanding its dealer network in India.

Carrier India, which holds a 10 per cent market share in the residential AC market and 20 per cent in larger segments, is looking at a 25-30 per cent increase in its dealerships from the existing 345, Mr Irani said while launching the company's new range of window and split ACs.

Sasan ultra mega project traded to third party, Congress MP

New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) The Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project, in Madhya Pradesh, has been ''traded'' by Globeleq its lead developer alleged Congress MP Gurudas Kamat in a letter to Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
