Police issue sketches of suspects in Mahto killing

Jamshedpur, Mar 13 (UNI) After arresting eight people, including two Maoists, involved in the Jamshedpur MP Sunil Mahto Murder case yesterday, police today issued the skecthes of naxalites.

Police said the raids in the naxalite-affected areas under Ghatshila subdivison were being carried out to nab the ultras. The police team also conducted raids in several hideouts of the outlawed CPI(Maoist)outfit, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the two arrested naxalites Nirmal Mahto alias Bikash and Rajan Mahto alias Santosh, who were in judicial custody at Ghatshila, today said the media that the naxalites decided to kill the JMM MP from Jamshedpur as he was spearheading the anti-extremist campaign in his constituency and also often visited the villages, where the ultras came frequently and contacted the sympathisers.

The arrested duo said the slain MP also used to provoke the villagers to mix poison in the meals that were being offered to the rebles.

The strong anti-rebel feelings of Mahto invited the wrath of the naxalites, they added.

The arrested Maoists said the naxlalites from neigbouring West Bengal chalked out the murder plan of Mahto and claimed that they had no inklink of the killings as they were told the arms of the body guards of the MP would be looted.

Mr Mahto along with three others were gunned down by the naxalites at Baghuria village in East Singhbhum on March four.

SC denies 10 castes permission to stand from UP reserved seats

Baalu opens two flyovers on Del-Gurgaon Expressway

Gurgaon, Mar 2 (UNI) In what could pave the way for smooth traffic flow between Delhi and Gurgaon, two flyovers on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, at IFFCO Crossing and South City junction on NH-8, were today opened to traffic by Union Minister T R Baalu and Haryana Chief Minister B S Hooda. The opening of these flyovers on NH-8 completes the last leg of flyovers in the Gurgaon section of the Expressway. With this, the entire stretch between Mahipalpur to Rajeev Chowk.....

SCBA condemns scaking of Iftikhar Chaudhary
