Person killed after trapped in fodder cutter

Akola, March 13 (UNI) A person was killed on the spot as he was trapped in the fodder cutter while taking a trial at village Nimkarda near here yesterday.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shankar Satarkar, who along with his son Nilesh, was taking trial of the fodder cutter with the tractor.

The deceased got trapped in fodder cutter when it was being opened.

Immediately he was brought to the general hospital here where he was declared dead before admission, hospital sources said.

Unfortunately, Nilesh, the son of the deceased also lost one hand due to fodder cutter some years ago, the family members told UNI.

A case of accidental death was registered and further investigation is on, police added.

Police said some youths entered the Zulelal Dharmashala in Sindhi Khadan area of the city yesterday where the marriage ceremony between Patil-Ghatwal families was going on. 11 kids take ill after consuming mid-day meal

Akola, Mar 13 (UNI) 11 kids have taken ill due to food poisoning after consuming 'khichadi' at Hatna village in Manora tehsil in the adjoining Washim district. Children of age group 2-3 years, began vomiting after consuming the 'khichadi' yesterday, which was being provided by the government under the 'mid-day meal' programme to them. They were rushed to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) of the village, which referred them to the General Hospital here. Four of the 11 kids are.....

IT collection up 30 per cent in Pune circle: IT Chief Commissioner

Kawade's resignation accepted

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) The resignation of People's Republican party of India MLC Prof Jogendra Kawade was accepted today. He had announced his resignation on the floor of the house in Nagpur, protesting against murder of four members of dalit family at Khairlanji.
