NDTV adds John O'Loan on BoD of its UK arm

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) has appointed Mr John O'Loan on the Board of Directors of its UK-based subsidiary NDTV Networks Plc.

Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of National Geographic Channels, Europe, and Executive Vice President, Fox Channels, Europe.

NDTV has signed an agreement with Com Ventures VI for investing 20 million dollars in its UK arm.

NDTV group's new business initiatives worldwide comprises entertainment, lifestyle, convergence, outsourcing, new channels planned in different countries and software or technology development.

Doctors to dwell on control of malaria at Pink City meet

Jaipur, Feb 23 (UNI) At least 2,000 doctors from across the state will dwell on control of Malaria, tuberculosis, Hepatitis and childhood Asthma at a two-day meet beginning here tomorrow. At a press conference here today, Dr Deepak Shukla, national vice-president of National Medicos Organisation (NMO), said the meet will also devise ways to inculcate ideal medical practice among the doctors in ''this age of consumerist culture.'' UTI Bank to become Pan-Asian

Army provides artificial limbs to 300 people in Poonch

Jammu, Feb 25 (UNI) Over 300 differently abled people were provided artificial limbs free of cost at the artificial limb fitment camp organised by army's ace of spades division in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The six-day camp, which was inaugurated on February 20, was for locals who had lost their limbs due to firing, mine accidents and terrorists action, a defence spokesman said.
