MRPL appoints Dewangan as Director

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) today named Mr V K Dewangan, Deputy Secretary (E-I), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, as Director of the company.

His appointment is effective from March 5.

MRPL is a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

Tehran, Mar 17: Three babies choked to death when a sand storm swept through an Iranian desert city yesterday night, state radio and a senior official said today.Two other people also died when winds of 130 km per hour bore down on Bam in southeastern Iran, the city's governor told the radio. New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) The Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) will give impetus to higher education in Indian by increasing its present contribution of 25 per cent to 40 per cent under the eleventh plan. IGNOU Vice Chancellor V N Rajasekharan Pillai said efforts to increase the University's contribution were afoot.
