Mishap kills 4

Raisen, MP, Mar 13 (UNI) Four labourers, including a woman, were killed on the spot and 22 injured, 12 of them severely, when the tractor-trolley carrying them veered out of control and overturned in a valley near Bhartipur, 60 km from this district headquarters today, police said.

''The vehicle was en route to Koylajher from Bhartipur. The deceased were identified as Thawri village-resident Meera Bai and Niwadi village-resident Khuman Singh, Sunil and Mukesh,'' said Sultanpur Station House Officer Kamal Jain.

The grievously hurt were rushed to Bhopal while the rest admitted to a local hospital. Bareli's Sub-Divisional Officer A S Pawar has reached the spot. The district administration disbursed immediate assistance of Rs 1,000 each to the deceased's kin and Rs 500 to the every injured person.

Pak to send delegation to OIC emergency ministerial meeting

Islamabad, Feb 20 (UNI) Pakistan will send a high-level delegation to the emergency ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), slated for February 22 in Jeddah. ''State Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar will represent Pakistan at the meeting convened to discuss the recent Israeli violations against the al-Aqsa Mosque,'' Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam said here today. Bhopal, Mar 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's Principal Secretary (Law) P P Tiwari has been chosen for the post of the State Chief Information Commissioner, official sources said. Parliament directs Nepal govt to take action against King

Kathmandu, Feb 21 (UNI) Amid countrywide protest and condemnation against King Gyanendra for his controversial statement, Nepal's Parliament urged the government to immediately take action against the King and declare Nepal a republic state. The King's message was ''unconstitutional and unauthorised'', a proposal of public importance passed by the House today said.
