Loan to physically challenged under self-employment scheme

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Mar 13 (UNI) Kancheepuram District administration would sanction a maximum loan of Rs ten lakh at a nominal interest rate to the physically challenged people under the self-employment scheme, according to District Collector Pradeep Yadav.

The Collectorate office in a statement here said loan amount ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs ten lakh would be sanctioned through the Central Cooperative bank. The interest amount would vary from five per cent to eight per cent. The interest rate for the physically challenged women would be further reduced by one per cent under the scheme.

In the current financial year, 100 phsysically challenged people would be assisted. The last date for submission of application forms is on March 20.

The phsyically challenged people should make use of this wonderful opportunity, Mr Yadav added.
