Japan Ambassador to deliver lecture at MGU

Kottayam, Mar 13 (UNI) The Fifth Diplomat Lecture on ''Japan-India Relations'' will be delivered by Japanese Ambassador Yasukuni Enoki here on March 16.

The lecture is being organised by the School of International Relations and Politics of the Mahatma Gandhi University.

School Director Raju K Thedikkaran said the lecture would focus on the general trend both in the past and future of Japan-India relations and brief on latest developments in bilateral relations.

The lecture assumed significance as the two countries were set to pursue a comprehensive economic partnership in Asia, which was now emerging as the leading growth centre of an increasingly interdependent global economy.

Russia to press US for answers on missile shield in Europe

Disaster Management Authority constituted

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 13 (UNI) A nine-member State Diasaster Management Authority with Chief Minister as Chairman has been constituted in Kerala as per the Central Act to coordinate relief measures in the event of natural calamities, Revenue Minister K P Rajendran told the State Assembly today. White House aide found guilty on 4 count

Washington, Mar 7 (UNI) Former White House aide Lewis Libby has been found guilty of lying, perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with the investigation into the leak of a covert CIA officer's identity in 2003.
