Haryana Assembly adjourned twice

Chandigarh, Mar 13 (UNI) The Haryana Assembly was adjourned twice, followed by a walkout by INLD members, during the resumed debate today on the motion of thanks to Governor's address to the House.

Speaker Raghubir Singh Kadian first adjourned the House for ten minutes and then again for five minutes when INLD members came to the well of House and raised anti-government slogans.

They were demanding that their leader and former Chief Minister O P Chautala should be allowed to speak on the motion as he could not complete his speech yesterday due to frequent interruptions by members of the treasury benches.

As the discussion resumed, the former Chief Minister rose on his feet to request the Speaker to give time and allow him to speak on the motion as the frequent interuptions yesterday had wasted most of the time allotted to him.

Soon other INLD members rose in his support, raised slogans and trooped into the well of the House.

The Speaker's pleas to the opposition members to resume their seats and maintain calm in the House fell on deaf ears. As the INLD members continued slogan shouting, the Speaker adjourned the House for ten minutes.
