Four members of a family, including supporting actress, arrested

Bangalore, Mar 13 (UNI) Four members of a family, including a former supporting actress of Bollywood, were arrested and stolen articles worth over Rs 13 Lakhs were recovered from them, Commissioner of Police Neelam Achutharao said today.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that Kamalesh, Priyanka, Suraj and Bollywood supporting actress Kavitha, posing as customers, had robbed gold and silver ornaments by replacing them with duplicate after diverting the attention of shopkeepers in the city. They had robbed Clothes and Electronic goods too.

The arrested had confessed to having committed the crime in the busy areas of the City and were involved in more than 16 cases, he added.

Fed urges govt to implement Nagarpalika scheme

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 16 (UNI) The Federation of Tamil Nadu Flat and Housing Promoters Associations (FTPA) urged the government to implement 'Nagarpalika' scheme in the state immediately. Supervalu opens Indian operations

Bangalore, Mar 14 (UNI) US grocery major Supervalu Inc today opened its Indian office here to support its strategic initiatives in the Information Technology sector. The company, Supervalu Services India Pvt Ltd (SSI), would be engaged in applications development, technology services, quality assurance and testing.
