Court rejects Kannada Prasad's bail application

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Mar 13 (UNI) A local Court today rejected the bail application of Kannada Prasad, involved in a sex racket.

When the bail application came up for hearing before the Chengallpettu Sessions Judge Mohandas, government prosecutor submitted that Prasad should not be granted bail as he would tamper with the evidence.

Prasad was arrested by the Chennai Police on charges that he ran a large sex racket in all the four states of South and brought hundreds of girls, mainly junior film artistes, into prostitution.

Mizoram police to exhume body of slain insurgent

Aizawl, March 14 (UNI) Mizoram police will exhume the body of a slain NSCN (I-M) cadre killed by his comrades after he voluntarily left the outfit recently. Police sources here today said four NSCN(I-M) cadres were arrested for allegedly killing one of their comrades and buried him on the outskirts of Tuipuibari village in western Mizoram along the Tripura border. HC needs original papers in missing ULFA members case

Guwahati, Mar 14 (UNI) The Gauhati High Court has directed the Centre to submit original documents in connection with the status of certain members of banned militant outfit ULFA. These militants went missing since Royal Bhutan Army operation against the militant group base in Bhutan in December, 2003.
