Chennai to host 'Taitronics India 2007' by Sep

Chennai, Mar 13 (UNI) To catch up with the business trend in India, Taipai World Trade Centre Company (TWTC) has decided to hold one of its largest overseas trade shows in the city from September 14 to 16.

The three-day event, titled 'Taitronics India 2007', is expected to bring together more than 100 exhibitors to display the best in electronics, information and communiction sectors and machineries like auto parts and accessories in Chennai Trade Centre at Nandambakkam, Executive Director Exhibition Department and spokesperson of TWTC Kevin Wei told newspersons here today.

TWTC would also arrange several summit forums, business cooperation conferences and official signing ceremonies during the event, he added.

The event would also bring together industrialists on a single platform, to further strengthen the existig business to make Tamil Nadu a destination for new industries, he said.

Three killed, seven injured in bomb blast in Multan

Multan, Mar 2 (UNI) Three people were killed and seven others including a Special Court Judge, injured in a bomb explosion in Multan city today. The bomb was attached to a bicycle, which exploded near the district court compound, killing two bodyguards and driver of Judge Bashir Ahmed Bhatti and injuring seven others including the judge himself, Pakistan's private Geo TV quoted Additional Inspector General Police Mirza Muhammad Ali as saying. Haj house will be completed before Haj pilgrimage season: Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 13 (UNI) Kerala Local Self Government Minister Paloli Mohammad Kutty today told the Assembly that the Haj house project constructed at Kozhikode will be completed before the next Haj pilgrimage season.
