Bomb hoax disrupts train serives at Sealdah Stn for hours

Kolkata, Mar 13 (UNI) A bomb hoax disrupted train services at the Sealdah station for two hours today following the detection of an unclaimed bag in the general compartment of the down Gede-Sealdah local train.

Official sources said as soon as the train arrived on platform No.1 at 1153 hours, a person informed the Station Master (Main) that an unclaimed bag had been lying on the bunk of the general second class coach, the rearmost compartment of the train.

The GRP and RPF immediately searched and found the bag containing an empty tiffin box. However, during the search operation, all safety precautions were taken and no one was allowed to board the train.

Finally, the bag was removed by the GRP at 1300 hours and the rake of the train was taken to the car shed.

Three arrested for stealing and selling copyright software

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) Police have arrested three persons for stealing and selling software of a Greece-based software company. The accused would hack the secret code and steal the CAD software, used for embroidery designs, of Wings Systems Limited, Greece having its office in Okhla in outh Delhi, police said today. Rs 3 lakh worth ganja seized from Tirmala bound RTC bus

Tirupati, Mar 13 (UNI) Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Vigilance officials seized ganja worth Rs three lakh from a Tirumala-bound RTC bus at Alipiri checkpost (foot hills of Tirumala) yesterday. The officials said the ganja weighing three kg stacked in a gunny bag was found during routine check in the Tirupati-Tirumala shuttle bus at Alipiri. Three persons suspected to be in the illegal transportation were secured and handed over to the excise officials for further investigation, they added. UNI.....

1 killed, 2 hurt as motorcycle hits car

Tirupati, Feb 25 (UNI) One person was killed and two seriously injured when the motorcycle on which they were travelling hit a car between Ramapuram and Nagari on the Chennai-Tirupati Highway in Chittoor District, about 45 kms from here this morning. Police sources said the mishap occurred when the trio, travelling to Nagari on the motorcycle, hit the car proceeding to Tirumala from Chennai. The deceased was identified as Murali Mohan(27). Two others -- Lakshminarayana (27) and Dhandapani (27)-- were admitted.....
