AP police keeping a close watch on Hasan Ali's ex-wife house

Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The city police is keeping a hawk's eye on the house of Mehaboobunnisa Begum, the divorced wife of horset trader Hasan Ali, after income tax sleuths detected unaccounted wealth worth Rs 35,000 crore with him in the raids recently.

According to sources here, the city police was closely watching her movements to find out whether she had revived relations with Ali, in the wake of recent IT raids on his houses in Pune.

Some vital information could be gathered by keeping a track on Ms Begum's movements and it would also allay apprehensions which may arise in future regarding their relationship. However, there was no further development in the investigation, they added.

Meanwhile, the sources said Ms Begum has filed a petition with the Banjara Hills police, seeking intervention to control the media, which was unnecessarily dragging her name with Hasan Ali.

But the station head denied any complaint filed by Ms Begum yesterday.
