AP capital all set to undergo further changes: YSR

Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state capital was set for further changes in the next two years with the opening of the new International Airport, Metro Rail and Outer Ring Road.

Hyderabad had achieved 52 per cent growth in software exports in last three consecutive years, he noted and urged Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia-designate Ashok K Kantha, who called on him today, to explore the possibilities of potential Malaysian investments in Andhra Pradesh in sectors like bio-technology, food processing and pharmaceuticals.

Mr Kantha congratulated the Chief Minister for the amazing progress made by the state, particularly in Hyderabad.

The state was setting an exemple to others in the country in rapid growth particularly in software exports, bio-technology, pharmaceuticals, food processing and infrastructure development.

While discussing Malaysian interests in Andhra Pradesh in sectors like construction of roads, ports and airports, tourism and palm oil, he said Andhra Pradesh and Malaysia could look for co-operation in these fields.

Mr Kantha invited the Chief Minister to visit Malaysia for inviting investors to the state.

He said Malaysia was also rapidly developing an IT super corridor and wanted to work in close co-operation with Indian states, an official press release here this evening said.

Qatar CAA approves Air-India Express flights to Mangalore

Dubai, Mar 7 (UNI) Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given approval for Air-India Express to commence flights to Mangalore, it is officially stated. The first flight, via Bahrain, IX814, will leave Doha on March 25 at 1345 hours and will reach Mangalore at 2150 hours. From Mangalore, the flight will leave at 2250 hours as Flight IX811 and will reach Doha at 1210 hours and then fly onwards to Bahrain. On Tuesdays, IX812 will depart from Doha at 1655.....

TTD chairman releases Sri Sarvajeet Nama Savasra panchagam

Tirumala, Mar 13 (UNI) The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy released the Sri Sarvajeet Nama Savasra Panchagam-2007, in front of the Sri Vari temple here today. Published by the TTD, the panchagam was released in three languages Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. In the first phase 40,000 copies in Telugu and 2,000 each in Tamil and Kannada were printed.
