Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 13 (UNI) The district police today arrested two Janshakti naxals and seized three weapons from them in two separate incidents.
Addressing the press here, Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra said the police personnel who were on a patrol near Komatipalli Plantation Area in Mangapet Mandal spotted Janashakthi Eturunagaram Area Dalam Commander Panuganti Srinu alias Suryam alias Vijay (22) moving about in suspicious circumstances.
On interrogation, he confessed of bringing weapons from forest area.
In another incident, the Warangal Town police arrested Janashakhti sympathiser Jannu Anil and recovered a .32 country revolver.
The revolver was given by R S Ramana Reddy who was arrested by the police in connection with an arms smuggling case recently.
Anil was planning to extort money from the people at gun point and share them with Reddy.
