Two girls missing from Chandigarh, found in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Mar 12 (UNI) A teacher and two girl students, missing from Chandigarh, were traced at Kafal Khet Village in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand, police said.

A driver Sushil Kumar was apprehended by the police last night when he was trying to sell a second hand Contessa Car. During interrogation he revealed he had brought few passengers from Chandigarh who were staying in Kafal Khet Village since March 6, SHO Bageshwar said.

When police raided the place the absconding teacher and his two students were found.

The police also took one Satish Bisht and his wife Manju Bisht to Bageshwar for interrogation from the spot.

The SHO said Chandigarh Police has been informed the incident.

All of them would be handed over to Chandigarh Police, the SHO added.

A case of abduction was lodged against the teacher in Chandigarh, he added.

College student ends life

Tirupati, Mar 12 (UNI) A first year post-graduate student of the Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam (SPMVV) allegedly committed suicide by hanging, in a hostel room today. Police said Ms Umamahesware, hailing from Jamalamaddugu in Kadapha district, took the extreme step due to family problems. The body was sent for post-mortem, police added. UNI.....
