TTD organises Maha Laghu Darshan in view of heavy rush

Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 12 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) organised Maha Laghu Darshan in view of the heavy rush of the pilgrims at Tirumala temple.

TTD authorities had imposed retrictions on issuance of Cellar and VIP darshan tickets to avoid inconvenince for free darshan pilgrims waiting at the Vaikuntam queue complex, a TTD official said here.

As many as 70,000 devotees had darshan at the main temple and still a large number of pilgrims were waiting in queues.

The Hundi collection and seva tickets had crossed Rs one crore, the official added.

Bhopal, Mar 12 (UNI) A Cloudy sky and isolated drizzles were witnessed in the Madhya Pradesh capital and the state's northern parts following a western disturbance over Rajasthan. ''Upper air cyclonic circulation formed over this state is drawing moisture from the Arabian Sea. Over the next 24 hours, isolated drizzles are likely in Bhopal, Guna, Ujjain and Jabalpur divisions and hail is likely in isolated places,'' Regional Meteorological Centre Director D P Dubey told UNI.....

Coffee reduces risks of cancer, diabetes type 2 : Study

Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) Drinking strong coffee not only refreshes one's mind but also reduces risks of cancer and diabetes type II, according to studies by an eminent radiation biologist.
